Speed Form

This project marks my introduction to the fundamentals of clay automotive modeling, focused on understanding form, proportion, and surface development. The objective was to design and sculpt a dynamic speed form that captures the essence of motion and performance in a simplified, non-vehicular shape. Using industrial design processes, I translated 2D sketches into a refined 3D form using modeling clay.

Throughout the process, I explored symmetry, surface transitions, and visual balance, while developing core skills in armature building, clay application, sculpting, and surface refinement. This foundational exercise laid the groundwork for full vehicle modeling by strengthening my ability to evaluate form in space, both by eye and with technical tools.
